Key Features
The pronation movement in the foot is not isolated, at least the two joints above the foot are affected. The foot status can cause major problems for patients with knee problems like OA, ligament injuries, meniscus problems or patella tracking problems, or even back problems. The MediRoyal MOW insole has been developed by CPO Lars Eghamn in Sweden. MOW stands for Medial Orthotic Wedge and is simply a medial posted insole that compensates for part of the pronation. This can be very useful in rehabilitation to reduce load and pain but also to do temporary compensations to see the effect and to increase the joint position sense and bio-feedback.

MaterialThe MediRoyal MOW Insole is made of EVA in two densities and Poron in the heel for optimal shock absorption. The effective medial posting is 5-7 mm depending on the size of the insole. The cover is made of high friction polyamide for optimal performance and comfort. The MediRoyal MOW Insole has been fitted with an ESD function (Electrostatic Discharge) that makes it possible to use the insole in both industrial as well as in a hospital environment together with an ESD-certified shoe.DimensionsYour feet are the foundation that the body rests on. How to Use
The DARCO MedSurg Shoe is designed to provide the foot with solid protection and accommodate bulky bandages with ease. It features a square-toe design to provide added protection for the toes. The sole has a metashank design that provides added support to the metatarsal region when walking. The DARCO MedSurg Shoe has a velcro closure across the front which can fit up to a 17 inch circumference from large bandages and dressing. It also eliminates any added pressure caused by more traditional D ring closures that can irritate the forefoot area.
Very aggressive tread at the midfoot provides superior traction. The reduced friction tread at the toe and heel to allow toe drag or heel scuff without tripping up the patient. The strap around the front of the ankle prevents the product from slipping off the heel. The DARCO MedSurg has a rocker bottom sole which is designed to reduce pressure on the bottom surface of your foot by up to 25% for a more comfortable walking experience.
